“Time Machine” Bring Me To Where I Want To Be, So I Can Be With Thee.

I don’t have many words to say about this song. It’s emotional. Maybe it could use a rewrite, but that is where a good co writer should come in. I mean, you can count on me to chop down a good walking path through the forest so we can get to the other side, but if you want to take the scenic route, then you need to carve out your own path. LOL.
Just sayin’.

“Time Machine”

This time machine
is a figment of my imagination
that keeps alive this infatuation
Alone in my make-believe.

When I close my eyes
And I lay under the pale moonlight
I feel you’re close so I hold on tight
My heart takes flight in the surrealist of dreams.

Because it’s so much easier
Pretending you’re not loving her
You won’t come back
But I still have my dream
I hold on to the past
And I fly in my time machine
I get by with my fantasy

I can’t change the past,
But I can make our love
and memories last
by peering through
the looking-glass
A vision only a
believer’s eyes would see

My heart found a way
to hold you close
and make you stay
But then reality
still finds a way
to give me to another lonely day

It’s so much easier
pretending you’re not loving her
You can’t come back
But I still have my dream
I hold on to the past
And I ride in my time machine
I get by with my fantasy

There are so many times I’ve cried
So many times I’ve needed you
And I still hurt inside
Although it seems you’ve made it through
Now all I can do
Is keep myself from falling through
Love keeps me up in the heavens
Where there’s no regret and
I keep on loving you

It’s so much easier
pretending you’re not loving her
We can’t go back
I still have my dream
I hold on to the past
And I fly in my time machine
I get by on this fantasy
