One morning I was reading articles about Mary J. Blige’s current divorce dilemma, and I also read articles and watched video interviews about her life and her thoughts and opinions, and then I started listening to her music. I was feeling her pain, but I was also recognizing her strength and talent. How dare any man try to take her for everything that she has. Coming from where she came from and building herself into the “Queen of Hip Hop Soul” has nothing to do with Kendu. So, starting from a poem and then turned into a lyric, this is my gift to Mary J. Blige. Now, if only she knew I existed. LOL!
People from all over America are flocking to the OLG to taste the fine cuisine, and everyone also has high hopes of meeting owner Kandi Burruss when they get there, Kandi is not only a restaurateur, she is also an award-winning songwriter, and singer, and currently most famous for being a cast member on the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
I began my journey by leaving my home at 3:30 in the morning to catch my flight from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta. I arrived early in the morning at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a big and technologically advanced airport. I felt like I was in a Resident Evil movie while trying to find my way out, and the “plane train” made my journey feel very Resident Evil. I would have taken pictures of this train and it’s dimly lit pathway if I weren’t holding on to a safety bar for dear life. LOL. This indoors train helps everyone get from terminal to terminal, as the airport is very big and busy.
Stevie Nicks has also mentioned this in the past, especially her advice for children to not be glued to the computer or smart phone or television or video games and go out and play. If only it were safe for children to go outside and run around, my opinion.
Getting back to Bjork. I believe she see’s social media as a tool, not a way of life as it has now become for most of humanity. She said during her interview with Pitchfork, “Maybe there are a lot of kids now who don’t know how to walk in a forest and do basic outdoorsy things. You can be on Facebook for a long time, and then you get a feeling in your body like you’ve had three hamburgers. You know it’s trash. I always advise my friends: just go for a walk for an hour and come back and see how you feel then. I think we’re meant to be outdoors. I was brought up in Iceland, and even if it was snowing or raining, I would be outdoors all day. Entertain yourself. Do shit. I think we need to put humanity into technology-the soul. It’s about using technology to get closer to people, to be more creative.”
Aaron Hernandez did not exhaust all of his appeals before he died, so even though he was technically found guilty of the murder of Odin Lloyd by a jury, there is a technicality that left his case in limbo until he exhausted all of his appeals and now leaves him an innocent man after death.
Whether Mr. Hernandez committed suicide to vacate his charges and help to leave his fiancée and daughter money and a better legacy by dying an innocent man, no one knows, but allegedly he wrote “you’re rich” in a letter to his fiancée. Legal specialists have speculated that the presumption of Mr. Hernandez’s innocence could entitle his family to recover any or all of the $5.91 million that was previously guaranteed in his contract, but the Patriots withheld after his arrest in 2013. Allegedly the judge feels that there is a possibility that Mr. Hernandez’s death may have been brought on by any number of factors, including possible “mental disturbance,” concerns about news reports that claimed he was gay, and even religious motives.
Allegedly, the state of Mr. Hernandez’s jail cell, body, and language of the letters he left behind seemed religious, and in my opinion very suspicious. The prison guard even skipped a 2 a.m. bed check. I think rumors of him possibly being high at the time might have led to the prison being on lock down and searched after his death. A medical examiner ruled the death a suicide, but a team of lawyers for Hernandez’s family said they have launched their own investigation into his death. I believe there has been a second independent autopsy in which the results have not come in yet, and his brain has been sent to a University for study in case the rough game of football has caused Hernandez’s brain serious injury that would have possibly altered his behavior.
One thing I’m trying to understand is that if Hernandez was found “not guilty” of a double murder in which the alleged reason for Hernandez allegedly murdering Odin Lloyd was because Odin allegedly was going to rat Hernandez out on those double murders, but Hernandez again was found “not guilty” of those double murders so the alleged reason for allegedly killing Odin now doesn’t make any sense. What would be the reason for killing Odin then? We don’t know where the murder weapon is, and if I’m correct, we don’t know who the trigger man is and two other men were with Hernandez at the scene of the alleged crime. Massachusetts law seems like you can also be guilty by association. Although, there was some other evidence that did make Hernandez look very suspicious and guilty. Choose your friends wisely folks. Just sayin’.
Whether we feel that the law is medieval and goes back to when Massachusetts was an English colony is not the point. The law is the law, and the judge followed the law regarding the first case and with the death of Mr. Hernandez. In my opinion all that is left to think about now is Mr. Hernandez’s little girl. Making sure she can have what she needs to survive and grow up feeling good about herself and know that her father loved her is what really matters now. Maybe the NFL will think about that. Maybe we should all focus on that. Prayers going out to all involved.
Well, some of us will say that it’s about time. The rest of us will say, NO WAY!
The series creator Shonda Rhimes has made the call to conclude the series after season 7. In 2013 Shonda Rhimes felt that she knew where the ending point would be, and at this time she doesn’t see where the series could go.
Good news coming from TV Line…
USA Network is bringing us a Psych reunion holiday movie! Now, I’m not a big fan of Christmas themed shows if that’s what this is, but I will certainly take what I can get from Shawn Spenstar and Gus TT Showbiz. James Roday co-wrote the revival with the show’s creator Steve Franks.
The series ended in 2014, and with fans still watching reruns and wearing out their boxed set disc collections, I believe it’s time to bring the show back. Every cast member had a great character and cast members and characters alike had great chemistry together, pure magic. It’s a show a family could actually sit down and watch together. Dramedy at it’s best!
I enjoy watching Married to Medicine and Real Housewives of Atlanta, but maybe not for the reasons that most other people do. I don’t tune in for the cat fights and frequent misunderstandings, but for the art that is truly imitating life. Even though I believe some of the shows contain some scripted material, I truly believe most of it is real, and I appreciate the realness.
It’s no mystery that where there are people there are problems, but on these shows there are also success stories and their ability to motivate others, or simply just take us out of our redundant lives even if it’s just for a little while. I enjoy watching the lives of these beautiful, educated, successful and motivated women. I enjoy watching them set up their women’s empowerment conferences or open a restaurant or have their own fashion shows because they have a clothing line, etc. I love it! I enjoy seeing their beautiful homes, clothes, hair and makeup and I am motivated by how much they care about themselves and their goals.
